It's the 6th of November and it's time for me to leave Sri Lanka and return home. I am very sad to be leaving but very happy to be seeing Abbie again.
I feel like it was just yesterday that I came her but it's actually been 11 weeks.
Today I've spent the day visiting friends here to say goodbye, see you next year. That's always a sad thing but I know I will be back again very soon so that eases the sadness.
Rev. Sumanajothi said to me the other day, "just two days to your crying day".
Raja's wife Daya and Udari cooked a farewell lunch for me, Raja's sister Kumari and her husband also came. It was very nice and I appreciated it so much.
I've packed most of my things now and I'm just waiting now to shower, eat dinner and head to the airport for that long lonely trip home.
My flight is at 1am on the 7th and I won't arrive in Melbourne until 8.45pm.
I came to deliver the 700kg's of goods to the children, find a new school in the North of the country, attend a wedding and become reacquainted with everyone. I've done that so now it's Good Bye from Sri Lanka.
I want to thank :
Raja Daya Pulasthi Shan Lakshika Palitha Rev. Sumanajothi and many many other here in Sri Lanka for an absolutely fabulous 11 weeks
