After much liaising with Fred from Bourne Bathrooms & Kitchens and Darryl from Platinum Cargo, the 49 boxes finally left my home for the journey to Sri Lanka via Singapore. John from DRJ came at 9am as planned, load the boxes onto the truck to take them to the warehouse in South Dandneong to be packed onto pallets, shrinkwrapped and labelled for the journey to Sri Lanka. We ended up with 3 pallets, 7.6 cubic meters, weighing 600kg and on Monday 25th July, it'll all be on the high seas heading for it's destination, COLOMBO SRI LANKA.
I anticipate that it'll arrive in Colombo on 15th August and then go through customs for inspection and the inevitable negotiation of Customs Duties payable before being delivered to Raja's home.
If all goes well, this last part will happen before I arrive on the 26th, if things don't go that well, I'll arrive before the cargo's released from Customs and have to just wait for it all to happen.
Raja's home will soon become my foundation warehouse. I'll work hard to unpack, sort and start to deliver the items to their intended recipients at the orphanages, schools and education & welfare centre and then his home will return to normal as mine is now.

Fundraising activities
Over the past two weekends, with the weather being so beautiful, I've held two garage/market stalls. One at my home and one at my friend Leanne's home. Special friends came to help, Susana, Edward & Padmini. It was a lot of hard work but well worth it as we raised a total of $510- over the two days. I am so thankful for the support of very good people who donate items which I can sell and this has helped to raise such a good amount of money. The raised money will buy 50 pairs of school shoes for some of the kids in Sri Lanka when I get there. I'm so happy with our efforts.
I'm now going to start planning the Trivia Night which we'll hold in November after I return from Sri Lanka. I may just have time for a bit of a rest before I leave on 26th August, although there's always something to do even if it's for the next trip.
