I've been home for 5 days now and as usual, I am struggling to settle into normal life again. I'm finding it too quiet, no close traffic noise and no neighbours close by. We live in a very quiet country.
I'm trying to keep busy so that I don't miss my friends in Sri Lanka and that life too much.
Tomorrow, we're having a fundraising market stall at the Frankston Sunday Market. Susana, Edward and Padmini will be coming along to help me.
We'll be selling items for children and babies only and hope to raise about $300-. It's an early start, we need to be there between 6-6.30am.
During my time in Sri Lanka, the Fairfax Weekly newspaper contacted me and asked if they could write an article on the work I do in Sri Lanka. Of couse I agreed and consequently received an email from them containing about 15 questions which I answered.
Just recently, that article appeared in the Franskton Weekly. It was really good and depicted the beginning of my journey's to Sri Lanka, what motivated me and what keeps me motivated. I wonder if anyone read that article?
Over the next few weeks, I'll just be letting you know what fundraising activities we've planned with the hope of seeing some of you there.
Thank you for following me through my journey in Sri Lanka, I know some of the updates were like epics for you to read but I'm glad that you took the time to do that.
